Growing up in communist Bulgaria, I realized that I had a choice: be defined by the system, the people, and the circumstances around me or step into the unknown and create my own way.
I chose the second path.
And today, I'm a two-time Olympian, leadership & executive coach, real estate investor, mentor to elite athletes, founder of a climate coaching initiative, wife of a Super Bowl champion, and a mother of three.
My life is full of transformations, which didn’t happen by accident.
It started when I was 17 and decided to leave Bulgaria and find a way to come to the United States for school. I graduated from college in the US with a degree in biology and got my first job in the pharmaceutical industry. While I brought my drive and high aspirations with me to my career, they quickly got squelched by the "Is it Friday yet?" culture. So once again, I set out to march into the unknown.
While watching the Olympics on TV one night, I was instantly obsessed with beach volleyball. I decided that night to learn how to play this challenging sport at the highest level possible. Just four short years later, overcoming big obstacles, I competed in the Olympic Games playing together with my younger sister.
Performing at the elite level and having to be our coach, manager, and strategist taught me a lot - but most importantly - I realized that we all have blind spots. And the thing about blind spots is that sometimes we end up missing opportunities because of what we can’t see. On the path to self-mastery, whether it’s in business, elite sports, or life, developing awareness is key and having a trusted advisor, or a coach, can take you much further because they help you get beyond the limitations we can’t see in ourselves.
Now I've reinvented myself again, and today, I’m bringing my elite coaching skills to help organizations and individuals make their next big leap forward.
