Lina Taylor with NASA Scientist Dr. Tara Ruttley

Dr. Tara Ruttley is the Chief Associate Scientist at NASA and in our conversation we cover distances from the world of the microscopic through suborbital microgravity to the vastness of outer space. The connection between these different realms is our curiosity to discover, the desire to achieve, and the skills to turn obstacles into opportunities.

In a fun reversal of the roles, Tara turns the microphone on me at the end and asks what it was like to qualify and play in the Olympics, against all odds in a new sport, after having been cut from my team as a teen and being told "You don't have what it takes to make it at the highest level."

If you have ever experienced a rejection or a set back, you may want to hear exactly how I turned the biggest obstacle in my life into the strongest springboard for success beyond the circumstances and the limiting beliefs.
